Stand Up Paddle Club is an inclusive fitness journey where you will strengthen your body, build your mind-body connections and practice nourishing your soul. Through our diverse programs, you will find that fitness is more about the journey than a destination. The Stand Up Paddle Club founder Krissy Snyder is dedicated to building an experience for our clients to commune with the natural surroundings of beautiful Great Guana Cay and enrich your soul through fitness, meditation and food education. We believe that you should nourish your body from the inside out.
The concept was created as I was pondering the idea of creating a community of people who cherish the outdoors and want to be stronger bodies through fitness, mindfulness and food education. Stand Up Paddle club wants to empower our clients by building confidence through paddle boarding. It is a great way to feel the sun on your face, the wind in your hair and be a part of our natural surroundings. Paddleboarding is an exciting new exercise regimen that has evolved from outrigger canoe paddling from Tahiti. It is now known as SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding) and has become very popular in California and Hawaii. It delivers a full body workout and thus has become a popular cross-training activity made famous by pro surfer, Laird Hamilton. And since you stand at your full height, you can enjoy unique views of everything from lake life to what's on the horizon...
Our SUP classes offer something for every body. From full fitness circuit training to PiYo on the Paddleboard to Intro to Paddling 101 we can accommodate your skills and help you develop a strong core, cardio endurance and all the while practicing mindfulness. Our monthly SUP-pers will offer food education to help nourish you and your family. Learn healthy and practical meal planning, learn more about the importance of eating organic whole, real foods and how to shop for foods that will help strengthen your immunity lose weight and support your health. Live-cooking demonstrations will show you easy ways to incorporate healthy foods into your life. We will also partner with local co-ops and organic farms to connect you with eating local, fresh produce. We can help impart knowledge on how to prepare healthy foods for you and your family.
Krissy comes from a strong fitness background. She is a World Paddle Association certified trainer and attended a comprehensive training in San Diego, California called Paddle into Fitness where she developed her skills to teach SUP Sculpt circuit training, Gentle Wake SUP Yoga, Paddleboard race techniques/training and Introduction to Paddleboarding. She is First Aid and CPR certified and has Starguard Lifeguarding certification. She also is a certified Balanced Body Pilates Instructor, National Academy of Sport Medicine trained and loves delivering a holistic fitness journey. Her love of water and fitness led her to build the Stand UP Paddle Club to share her joy of the outdoors, lakes and healthy living.
